President’s Message

This message is about giving back. This year, every year, all year.

We at Ad Relief help when some of our advertising associates have nowhere else to turn. It seems that a day does not go by without some kind of news about heartbreaks, disasters and tribulations of our world and the communities we live in. Locally, the advertising community of the Greater Los Angeles area continues to play a major role in our local economy. Though, the members of our community are not immune to the uncertainties of life.

A life crisis can manifest at any time. Sometimes early preparation can minimize the impact of such a crisis. But in reality, there may be a time when we need to seek help when faced with a life crisis.

We are Ad Relief. We are a unique organization, established by and for the advertising community. It is run by your peers – advertising, media and promotion professionals who are passionate about the work of the Ad Relief and who want to see it continue to help those with no where else to turn.

Since its establishment over 30 years ago, Ad Relief of Greater Los Angeles (formerly Advertising Industry Emergency Fund) has distributed more than $2 million to hundreds of individuals in the Greater Los Angeles advertising and promotions community. All claims have been handled on a confidential basis to protect the recipient or beneficiary. In addition to financial assistance, the Ad Relief has provided support in the way of referrals to other resources and individuals who have specific expertise to assist our beneficiaries in moving forward with their lives.

As members of this community, you or someone in your network may be eligible to receive support in a time of need. As with any benefit we need your help to support the efforts of Ad Relief. The ability to offer financial support is one of our biggest benefits. We are not able to provide this benefit without the generous support of our community. You can provide help in a variety of ways:

  • Donations – Both corporate and individual. No amount is too small!
  • Fundraisers – Attend Ad Relief events and invite your co-workers.
  • Company events – Stage your own fundraising events during the holidays (or any time of the year) and donate the proceeds to the Ad Relief.
  • Volunteerism – Help with Ad Relief-sponsored industry events.
